Integrate the remote changes (e.g. hint: 'git pull ') before I'm really liking the Oxidized/LibreNMS combination so far. now my next project will be nfsen.

Is LibreNMS capable of doing all this out of the box? Is there a better solution to look at? I've tried things like ELK stacks and I can never quite get the queries right to get what I want, and I've found things like pmacct and simple nfsen where I could possibly build my own graphing engine based on its flexible output, but I was hoping for a pre-built solution to minimise dev time.

LibreNMS has Nfsen integration though does it not? Nfsen is the collector and I know plenty of collectors just looking for analyzer to display it the way I want. 1. Share. 2019-10-09 We monitor and graph thousands of our customer and corporate devices through several programs.

If you look in html/pages/device.inc.php you can find the code where it tries to convert librenms device hostname to a nfsen rrd file. It does this in three steps on the hostname: 1- regex replace any "." with the nfsen_split_char 2- strstr to strip off the nfsen_suffix from the end 3- add $config['nfsen_rrds'] the the beginning and ".rrd" to the end

That's what we have at the moment. Many environments that I've worked on doesn't add a DNS name to it's network devices. So I usually have IP addresses in monitoring systems. However, NfSen integration assumes using an fqdn. So I'm thinking if we do not set $config['nfsen_split_char'] it assumes we're using an IP or a hostname (not a fqdn) AlertOps & LibreNMS Integration.

We found LibreNMS to be an excellent product to use with a friendly and supportive team . If you wish to render info for configure channels for a device, you need add the various profile-stat directories your system uses, which for most systems will be as below. $config['nfsen_rrds'] [] = '/var/nfsen/profiles-stat'; When adding sources to nfsen.conf, it is important to use the hostname that matches what is configured in LibreNMS, because the rrd files NfSen creates is named after the source name (ident), and it doesn't allow you to use an IP address instead.
